Over the years Cam Martin has participated as NASA’s Liaison to Civ Mil, Board Member, and most recently, as a Member at Large of Edwards AFB Civ Mil.
He actively supports the work and activities of Civ Mil. He has been a volunteer at the Civ Mil Winterfest hot chocolate kiosk, and attended Fall & Spring Mixer Events, the POW/MIA Remembrance Dinner, the Edwards AFB TEDx seminar, 2022 EAFB Department of the Air Force Ball and other activities. He participated in the Civ Mil “Life Friends” of the Flight Test Museum Foundation” effort.

Since retiring from the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Cam has worked as a consultant supporting the work of the Mojave Air & Space Port, the Unites States Space Force, and other regional aerospace activities. He serves each year as on-site volunteer chairman for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual events in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He is a Commercial Sailplane Pilot at the Mountain Valley Airport Skylark North Soaring School and flies iLead STEM Program high school students on their aviation indoctrination syllabus flights. He is the honorary “Flight Historian” for the Glen Edwards Flight 56 of the Order of the Daedalians, and was a featured speaker at the “First Flights in the Antelope Valley” event held by Northrop Grumman, AIAA, SETP and SFTE.

Cam served on active duty in the United States Navy for ten years. His son and daughter are currently serving in the U.S. Navy and United States Marine Corps respectively. Cam serves as a member of the 20th Congressional District’s Service Academy Citizen Interview Committee. He has been a resident of Tehachapi, California for 28 years.
